Journal Of Global Mobility-the Home Of Expatriate Management Research is a professional journal dedicated to in-depth research on global mobility trends, patterns and impacts. It not only focuses on traditional corporate expatriates, but also covers self-initiated expatriates and other cross-country job relocators, including but not limited to international business travelers, short-term expatriates and international commuters. JGM is unique in its comprehensive focus on global employees, which includes global employees in non-corporate communities such as diplomats, academics, international school teachers, international volunteers, military personnel, missionaries, sports professionals, international artists, and medical workers, as well as research on lower-status expatriates.
The journal provides a centralized, dedicated distribution channel for academic research in the field of global mobility. It aims to be the premier publishing outlet for global mobility and global employee management issues, making JGM the platform of choice for authors and readers interested in these topics. Journals encourage exploration of new areas of global mobility, or re-examine existing topics to gain new insights, which not only promote academic understanding of the phenomenon of global mobility, but also provide empirical basis and theoretical support for related practices.
