The Journal Of Enabling Technologies explores how technology can empower disadvantaged people, people with disabilities and other marginalized groups to promote their full participation in life and society. The journal not only focuses on innovation in technology itself, but also delves into how technology can improve the quality of life for these groups by increasing independence, inclusion, and overall well-being. Research areas cover a wide range of topics, including personal independence, education and employment opportunities, health care, self-advocacy and support services.
Authors are encouraged to submit papers related to the design, application, and evaluation of new technologies, especially how they can be adapted to different environments and uses. In addition, the Journal of Enabling Technology highlights ethical issues in the use of technology, addressing important themes such as participation, accessibility, inclusion and social justice. Through these studies and discussions, the journal aims to promote a more equitable, just and inclusive future, promoting support and attention for vulnerable people at all levels of society.
